How long do the Black Berkey Purification Elements last?
Each pair of Black Berkey Purification Elements is designed to last for up to 6,000 gallons of water before needing replacement, depending on the quality of the influent water.
What is the typical shipping time for my order?
Most orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping typically takes 3-7 business days depending on your location within the continental United States.
Do Berkey systems filter out fluoride?
The standard Black Berkey elements do not remove fluoride on their own. To filter fluoride, you must add the PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements to the lower chamber of your system.
What is your return policy for water filtration systems?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused and unopened products in their original packaging. Please note that used filters cannot be returned due to sanitary reasons.
How often should I clean my Berkey system?
We recommend cleaning the lower chamber once a month with soapy water. The purification elements should be cleaned or 'scrubbed' if you notice a significant decrease in the flow rate.
Are Berkey systems BPA-free?
Yes, all Berkey stainless steel systems and Berkey Light systems are made from high-quality, BPA-free materials to ensure your water remains pure and safe.
